A motor racing fan since childhood, Colin Carter has always been a frustrated racing driver. Instead he found success as a motorsport artist.

British artist Colin Carter is now sought after in more than 35 countries. His unique oil paintings fill the canvas with images of drivers at the wheel.

Interestingly, Colin paints 'live' at exhibitions worldwide, at events such as the Silverstone, Monza and Imola Grand Prix, the 24 Hour Le Mans, Laguna Seca, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Retromobile, Paris and the London, Geneva, Melbourne and Frankfurt Motor Shows. He has been featured internationally in various car magazines, national newspapers and TV.

Colin works from his own gallery and studio in Ramsgate, Kent, in the south of England.

Nearly 100 of his original paintings have now been reproduced as lithographs and, more recently, large canvas Giclee prints are now available, at the same size as his original paintings (4ft x 3ft)

Colin has always been facinated by the history and the legends who took part in the famous Indianapolis 500.

A number of all time racing legends have agreed to take part in a unique and historic series and Colin is pleased to announce the release of the first eighteen of this series featuring all time racing legends, Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney, AJ Foyt, Jim Rathmann, Al Unser Snr, Lloyd Ruby, Danica Patrick, Johnny Rutherford, Rick Mears, Parnelli Jones Bobby Unser and Tom Sneva. All prints will be signed by each racing legend and the artist and will build up to become a truly collectible series
